Composition and pharmacological properties
In its composition the product contains hlordiksidin bigluconate, taurine and succinic acid. “Diamond eyes” eye drops have bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous properties. When instalated into the conjunctival cavity, preparation easily penetrates into all eye tissues, providing sustained therapeutic levels of active components.
Hlordiksidin bigluconate has hypersensitized bactericidal action at gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, darmatofits and lipophilic viruses. Mechanism of its action is in kations bonding, formed by the dissociation of hlordiksidin’s salts, bacterial cells mural, violation of the osmotic equilibrium and cell membrane function, which lowers the level of cellular ATP and loss of microorganism.
Taurine and succinic acid normalizes the redox processes, have a restorative effect, retard the cataracts development and preventive treatment of degenerative and degenerative disorders in the retina and lens.
Indications
for application
For daily hygienic treatment of cat’s and dog’s eyes (remove dried exudates in the corners of the eyes), excessive tearing, inflammation of the mucous membrane, hyperemia of the eyeball blood vessels (syndrome of “red eye”), with therapeutic and preventive purposes in acute and chronic catarrhal and serous-catarrhal conjunctivitis, after injuries and foreign bodies hits, as well as for the prevention of cataracts and age of degenerative and dystrophic changes of the retina and cornea.

When applying the medicine according to the medicine management the side effects and complications were not observed.
Dosage and administration
For daily care of eyes, conjunctivitis with mild medicine soaked sterile gauze is removed from the inner corner of eye exudate and crusts, and after that the medicine is instilled into of cats’ and dogs’ conjunctival cavity, with weight up to 10 kg 1 drop, dogs weighing over 10 kg – 2 drops. Treatment is carried out 1-3 times a day and if it is needed with a 5-10-day interval:
• for manipulation with eyes 1 time a day the medicine is used not more than 45 days, and then a 10-day break is to be done;
• for manipulation with eyes 2 times a day the medicine is used not more than 20 days, and then a 7-day break is to be done;
• for manipulation with eyes 3 times a day the medicine is used not more than 14 days, and then make the 5-day break.
In cases of excessive tearing, redness, trauma, foreign objects or irritant substances in contact the medicine instills 1-2 drops 3 times a day for 5-14 days.
In order to prevent cataracts and age degenerative changes of the retina and corneal the medicine is used 1-2 drops 2 times a day, rate for 20 days with a 10-day interval.
