Vietnam War USN USMC Jet Pilot & Crew SV-2 Survival Vest, Sage Green, 1967,NICE!

This is an original Vietnam War USN USMC Jet Pilot & Crew SV-2 Survival Vest, Sage Green. It is dated 1967 which was the first year they made the SV-2. This vest has all good zippers and straps. This early SV-2 has the knife and pencil flare pouch on the front. Behind that pouch is the pistol storage pouch. On the left side is the large pouch for the mirror whistle and survival kit. ON the side of the knife pouch is a small pocket the size of the shroud cutter. Later that pocket was removed and Velcro was attached there to hold the pilots oxygen mask hose. On the left side up front is a pocket for the survival radio and another small pocket also the size of the shroud cutter . On the far right side is the other big pocket that housed the strobe light and other survival kit. The yellow straps are for a later version of the life vest. This is a rare vest in that it is the first time they used the SV-2.
